Fred. Olsen Windcarrier’s Bold Tern is in charge of installing 88 out of the project’s total 174 turbines, with A2SEA’s Sea Challenger responsible for installing the remaining 86 units.

According to Fred. Olsen Windcarrier, Bold Tern recently left the Port of Hull with its 15th turbine loadout for the 1.2GW offshore wind project.

Hornsea Project One reached the halfway turbine installation point in mid-June when the 87th turbine had been installed at the project site some 120km off Yorkshire.

The wind farm, due to become the world’s largest offshore wind farm once fully online in 2020, saw the first turbine installed in February.
