Turbine No. 18 Rising at Hohe See

Wind turbine number 18 is currently being installed on the 497MW Hohe See wind farm in the German North Sea, Fred. Olsen Windcarrier said.

Brave Tern has just finished installing its twelfth turbine, and Blue Tern is currently installing its sixth unit.

The Siemens Gamesa 7MW wind turbines are being loaded in sets of four from the Port of Esbjerg in Denmark and then transported and installed at the site some 95km north of Borkum and 100km northwest of Helgoland.

EnBW, the owner and developer of the 71-turbine Hohe See and the neighbouring 16-turbine Albatros wind farm, plans to commission the two wind farms which are being built as one project by the end of the year.
