JECS Offshore Completes Rampion Duty
UK-based JECS Offshore Scaffolding Ltd has just completed its contract to supply scaffolding access services on the Rampion wind farm offshore Sussex.
JECS has recorded some 34,000 man-hours on the project without a single lost time incident, injury or accident during the entire 24 months that the company worked on the project.
The contract brought the company just over GBP 1.8 million in revenue.
Officially commissioned at the end of November 2018, the 400MW Rampion offshore wind farm comprises 116 MHI Vestas 3.45MW turbines which were put into operation at the end of April 2018.
Located 13km off the Sussex coast, the wind farm is a joint project of E.ON, Canadian energy company Enbridge and the Green Investment Rampion Ltd consortium. E.ON is responsible for the construction and the operation of the wind farm.
