POSH Kerry Scoops First Taiwanese Offshore Wind Work

POSH Kerry Renewables, a joint venture between the Singapore-based PACC Offshore Services Holdings (POSH) and Taiwanese Kerry TJ Logistics, has secured its first contract for the offshore wind market in Taiwan.

Under the contract, POSH Kerry will provide anchor handling, supply and standby support to an international geotechnical services operator during the site survey, installation and construction of an offshore wind farm.

The work is scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2018 offshore Guanyin and will potentially include other sites in Yunlin and Taoyuan-HsinChu.

POSH Kerry also recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with local marine and towage company Seagreen Enterprise.

The partnership is said to further broaden the joint venture’s service portfolio and support the Taiwan government’s goal of building up local offshore marine capabilities through the exchange of knowledge and best practices.

Both POSH Kerry and Seagreen will embark on joint initiatives to recruit, train and build up a pipeline of Taiwanese crews.

In mid-July this year, POSH and Kerry TJ Logistics established the joint venture aiming to provide integrated supply chain and marine solutions to the Taiwanese offshore wind sector.
