The training, taking place on 16 and 17 March 2016, will allow CSBC to safely plan and manage activities for the complete lifecycles of offshore wind farm projects for which the company has been appointed as EPCI contractor.

A session to be delivered by SeaRoc Group’s Head of HSEQ, Kelly-Ann Ee, will provide details of specific HSE requirements for offshore wind developments, methods for effective HSE management, key HSE issues and systems to manage HSE.

There is specific focus on offshore wind development by the Government of Taiwan, as part of its aim to achieve around 14GW of renewable generation capacity by 2030.

Taiwan has pledged to boost offshore wind industry by investing NT$ 88 billion (EUR 2.5 billion) by 2020 and NT$ 670 billion (EUR 18.7 billion) by 2030.
