Three Companies Set Up Dutch Offshore Base

A new joint venture that will provide 24/7 services to the maritime and offshore industry has been launched in the Netherlands.

The launch of Dutch Offshore Base BV, comprising Ter Haak Group, Dutch Offshore Group and Rotterdam Offshore Group, was announced at the Europort exhibition in Rotterdam this week.

The newly created company said the shareholders’ activities and expertise are complementary, thus a complete portfolio can be offered to clients.

According to Dutch Offshore Base’s press release, the services include demobilisation and mobilisation of vessels, including those for wind turbine installation, heavy-lift and floating cranes, sales/rental and storage of equipment, yard repairs or maintenance, port and voyage repairs or maintenance, high end on site mechanical services, as well as warehousing, transport, storage and inventory control.

Dutch Offshore Base added that it has an open sea access, strategic and ISPS and AEN location in the main port of Amsterdam, with lay-by facilities for marine, sea-going and jack up vessels with 800m of quays, a deep sea quay of up to 500m in length, 60m breadth and a 15m draft. The company said it has a heavy lift crane capacity of up to 1,400t, a large open yard area of more than 100,000m² and warehouse space of 30,000m².
