Wind Energy Veteran Forms New Company

Peter Jorgensen, former managing director of offshore services provider CWind, is investing 20+ years of renewable energy and offshore wind sector experience into his own company, CPower Energy.

CPower Energy will provide services to support the renewable power industry, offering a suite of packaged solutions for energy firms looking to create and maintain the billion-pound investments that wind farms represent.

With Peter at the helm, partnered by former CWind finance manager and spouse Tsvetelina Blagoeva, the firm will take on the implementation, construction and on-going maintenance of onshore and offshore wind projects worldwide.

Peter said: “Over the life span of these wind farms no one wants to see them idle due to breakdowns. The maintenance wing of CPower Energy will ensure that such outages have minimal impact for firms using our services. Wind farms are a profitable long-term investment and a major plus for the environment we live in, but there has to be planned on-going work for this to continue.”

Peter first worked in the offshore wind sector during the construction of Gunfleet Sands Offshore Wind Farm off the East Coast of England, where as construction manager for leading developer DONG Energy he managed hundreds of contractors to see the 48 turbines constructed.

He continued: “I never tire of the wind sector. This industry is expanding rapidly but still relatively small and everyone knows each other. There are so many new initiatives coming in and the technological advances made are really exciting. The future looks very bright.”

Tsvetelina Blagoeva, CPower Energy finance director, said: “This business is all about people. Our aim is to ensure we have a family culture running through our core and close connections to all of our clients.”
