CorPower Ocean Awarded EUR 100K
As one of four finalists of the MIT Building Global Innovators Award, the KIC InnoEnergy start-up CorPower Ocean was awarded € 100,000 in the category “Ocean Economy”.
The jury considered CorPower´s Wave Energy Converters as the most competitive business idea among several hundred screened applications from more than 30 countries.
CorPower has now also the chance to win an additional € 100,000 in the Grand Finale taking place on February 26th 2015. The fifth edition of “Building Global Innovators Award” attracted applications from over 30 countries, all projects with value propositions that reach a global market.
The MIT Portugal Program is a large-scale international collaboration involving MIT and government, academia and industry in Portugal to develop education and research programs related to engineering systems.
