UK: DSH to Run London Array Accounts

UK DSH to Run London Array Accounts

London Array, the world’s largest offshore wind farm, has appointed DSH Chartered Accountants & Business Advisors in Maidstone to provide it with accounting and tax services for the next three years.

For DSH partner Duncan Cochrane-Dyet, the appointment is recognition of the quality of DSH’s teams.

“When we were invited to tender, we knew it would be a tough call as we expected to be up against some strong competition,” he said. “DSH’s values are all about looking after our clients, consequently we invest heavily in our people and in our work process management, so we were confident that we had the skills and discipline that London Array was looking for.

“The team at London Array clearly demand the highest standards from themselves, and look for the same from their accountants, and we are both excited and delighted by the opportunity to work with them.

“Locate in Kent was instrumental in pointing London Array in our direction and helping them find a local supplier to meet their needs.”

For Dominik Adamus, London Array’s Commercial Manager (Operations), the appointment was the culmination of a thorough and considered approach.

He said: “The operation and maintenance of the wind farm is a complex business both in engineering and financial terms.

“London Array is committed to using local suppliers wherever possible and we are delighted to have found in DSH a Kent firm with the skills and expertise that we were looking for.

“DSH put forward a very strong team and I very much look forward to working with them.”

Paul Wookey, Chief Executive of Locate in Kent, added: “We are delighted that DSH attended our offshore wind supply chain event held in Ramsgate at the beginning of June and has subsequently been awarded this work.

“The event gave our partners from many sectors the chance to meet face-to-face with key procurement decision-makers at London Array and to pitch their businesses.

“The fact that Kent-based companies such as DSH are winning contracts with London Array demonstrates the strength of the county’s supply chain to the region’s offshore wind industry.”

London Array is a 630MW offshore wind farm in the outer Thames Estuary, 20km off the north Kent coast. Operation and maintenance of the wind farm is carried out from Ramsgate.
