USA: Two Massachusetts Business Groups Campaign against Cape Wind

Massachusetts Competitive Partnership (MACP) and the Associated Industries of Massachusetts have promoted an anti-wind campaign in three Massachusetts newspapers on Thursday, writes State House News Service.

Namely, those two business groups took full-page color ads in the Boston Globe, the Boston Herald and the Cape Cod Times, displaying words of warning and the phone numbers for members of the state’s congressional delegation.

They question up to 1,000 jobs, which are to be created by the Cape Wind development, by saying that a lot of the work would be outsourced.

According to the add, Massachusetts’ energy costs would be even less competitive with this wind energy project which ”does not make sense.“
