Germany: TÜV NORD Wins Order from Siemens Wind Power
Siemens Wind Power has commissioned TÜV NORD with inspection of a series of offshore wind turbines over the coming years.
TÜV NORD will inspect the lifts, cranes, hydraulic tanks and storage vessels of the wind turbines before they enter into operation. The inspections will be conducted onshore as well as offshore, starting 2013.
Siemens Wind Power is erecting turbines for several wind farms in the North Sea and the Baltic, and a part of them will be inspected by TÜV NORD.
