UK: Kawasaki Heavy Industries to Showcase Its Expertise at Tidal Energy Event

As the famous saying goes “fortune favours the bold” so it is no surprise that Kawasaki Heavy Industries (KHI), a firm who has amassed a wealth of experience in developing and building ocean going vessels, various types of marine structures along with advanced engineering technologies for high-efficiency gas turbine power generation plants have taken the proactive approach in 2012 to showcase their excellence as it relates to tidal energy.

Recent increase in support for Wave & Tidal energy in the UK, up from 2 ROCs to 5 ROCs, will stimulate the marine sector. Smart companies are positioning themselves to succeed in this emerging sector now.

Tidal Today, the leading think tank providing independent news and analysis for tidal energy, is proud to be working with KHI for at least the remainder of 2012 with the sole objective of aiding the experts to showcase their excellence to the tidal energy community.

Will Broad, Chief Analyst at Tidal Today spoke at a recent press event about the partnership. “I am truly delighted to be working alongside KHI to help them meet their specific objectives not only for 2012, but for long term success. As one of only a handful of companies whose solutions play a very significant part in making these new technologies reliable and cost effective I am thrilled to add them to the line-up for this year’s international tidal energy summit.”

KHI are confirmed to have their development staffs present a case study into the work they’ve done to date on their development of a power generation system utilizing ocean tides. They will entertain and educate the industry on their recent achievements.

Key industry stakeholders such as RWE Npower Renewables and Siemens have already made public, sizeable commitments to tidal energy. They are also part of the industry elite chosen to speak at ITES2012.

Commentary on ITES reached new heights last year and helped reset the benchmark for 2012

“This event has improved year by year and this was the best in terms of representation (interesting attendees) and the agenda was comprehensive” said Peter Fraenkel of Marine Current Turbines Ltd.

VeMarine followed with “As a conference Tidal Today leads the pack, international in outlook and specific in nature this focus makes it a player for your time by discussing that most important of topics…our future”
