USA: Fishermen’s Energy to File Amended Application to NJ Regulators

USA: Fishermen's Energy to File Amended Application to NJ Regulators

Fishermen’s Energy will file an amended application to NJ regulators by  1 June.

The company plans to build 5 or 6 wind turbines with total capacity of 25 MW in waters offshore the Atlantic City, thus hoping to install the first offshore wind farm in the USA.

This move follows criticism by two consulting groups. The said groups raised questions about the costs of the project and the documentation supplied by the company, followed by the high prices of energy that would be generated, the economic benefits and the technology to be used.

After the Fishermen’s Energy files the amended application to the five commissioners, they will have 180 days deadline to review it, as stipulated by the state law.
