Germany: IQPC Organizes Wind Power HR Conference

The wind industry has witnessed exponential growth in the past years. The need for suitable employees has grown in proportion – but fierce competition and lack of expertise in this highly specialized energy sector pose significant challenges for HR and business development.

Meet international HR experts and CEOs at IQPC’s conference Wind Power HR, 23 – 25 April, 2012 in Bremen to discuss topics such as talent attraction and employee retention.

What is the best strategy to improve talent attraction and employee retention? How can a training demand be identified and in-house skills best developed? Hear from companies such as Siemens, Vestas Wind Systems, WinWind or Global Wind Power what the most successful HR strategies for the European wind industry are.

Main topics of the conference include:

• Global HR strategies – how to grow with international markets

• Employer branding in wind

• Training and development (panel discussion)

• Operation & Maintenance, e.g. in Offshore Wind

Additionally to the presentations and networking breaks, participants may take part in three interactive workshops on Wednesday, 25 April 2012. Topics such as “Improved wind power environments” (WKN Windkraft Nord), “HR challenges offshore” (Germanischer Lloyd Industrial Services), and “Bridging the skills gap – degree programs and advanced training” (BZEE Academy/CEwind) will be discussed.
