HCE Establishes itself in Sweden and Acquires Wastgota

Norway and Sweden will be soon perceived as a common market for renewable energy, most likely as of January 1, 2012.

This development is the outcome of the establishment of the joint Norwegian Swedish certificate system for the production of renewable energy, also known as the Green Certificate.

Havgul clean energy AS (HCE) was established in Sweden in order to get closer to the local market and has purchased 75 percent of the Swedish development company, Wästgöta Wind AB, according to a press release.

Bernard Emanuelsson remains a CEO of Wästgöta Wind AB, which is located in Grästorp just south of Lake Vänern.

The company’s exciting project portfolio consists of both onshore and offshore projects located in southern Sweden.

„The company has a number of interesting projects. Together with our projects in Norway and our activities in the United States, we feel that we are established in three of the most exciting markets internationally“, says general manager of Havgul Clean Energy, Ketil Reed Aasgaard.
