Julian brings extensive wind industry experience and will lead activity to develop our UK footprint and involvement in Round 3 projects. AREVA has a great product platform in the M5000 which we are convinced will play an important role in UK offshore wind farms.”

In the first instance the new Country Director UK will be focused on AREVA Wind’s participation in the UK offshore wind market supplying the AREVA M5000 5MW wind turbine. A new AREVA Wind office will be established to support business development, project management, supply chain development and industrialization.
