Technicians from Boston Energy will commence operations on site from October 2016, backing the Siemens team on the dockside at Hull Pre-Assembly site.

Adrian Yeaman, Operations Manager of Boston Energy, said: “It’s great news to be involved in the Pre-Assembly project at Hull and to see the work being awarded to Boston Energy as a local company. Involvement in the Dudgeon 6MW project is fantastic for our growth and for developing our experiences in the industry, especially as it offers local employment to our technicians from the area and opportunities for Boston Energy to invest and train people locally for a new career in Renewables.”

The Dudgeon offshore wind farm will feature Siemens 6MW wind turbines, installed some 20 miles off the coast of the seaside town of Cromer in North Norfolk.

The 402MW project, worth GBP 1.5 billion and owned by a joint venture between Statoil, Statkraft and Masdar, is expected to start generating electricity in early 2017.
