BFL Management will hold two public consultations this month regarding the amended proposal for £750 million green energy park at the former Richborough Towers site, This is Kent news portal reports.

Namely, the BLF was appointed by the Richborough A Ltd to develop a master plan for the site.

It is expected that the new plan will have a reduced number of proposed energy generating processes.

These power plants will probably work with the offshore wind farms, to run no more than 200 hours during the time when the wind is not blowing.

The events will be held on June 15 and 16 in Cliffsend Village Hall and the Bell Hotel in Sandwich.

Gary Lever, development director for BFL, said: “We are delighted to be presenting our final proposals to bring this major brown field site back in to productive use.

“As we announced when we first acquired the site, our intention is to develop a green energy park combining a number of technologies to generate electricity and heat, taking advantage of the existing electricity grid connection.

“We have listened carefully to the feedback from the local community and are now pleased to present our revised proposals. I’m also pleased that National Grid, our largest tenant on the site, will be joining us at the consultation to reveal their own plans for the Belgium Interconnector.”
