According to Reuters, the shareholders have asked for a seat on the supervisory board at the company’s new subsidiary for renewables, grids and retail operations, 10% of which is planned to be listed on the stock market in late 2016.

Currently, they hold four out of 20 seats on RWE’s supervisory board.

RWE’s payout for contributions amounts to up to EUR 18 million in shareholders’ annual budgets, and the company’s shares have fallen down by more than a half over the past year, Reuters writes.

The issue is expected to have RWE’s supervisory board meeting today under its thumb.
