Under the agreement, the Parque Nordés joint venture has entered into a non-exclusive commitment to have GOE-Asime, with its more than 40 associated entities, as the preferred industrial partner if it is awarded the construction of the 525 MW floating offshore wind farm by the relevant authorities.

If Parque Nordés is granted all necessary approvals, member companies of GOE-Asime would become preferred suppliers when it comes to providing services in terms of design, manufacturing, assembly, and operation and maintenance (O&M).

Located in the waters between Cedeira and Cariño, the wind farm is planned to comprise 35 wind turbines of a 15 MW capacity and would have an estimated power production of approximately 2,100 GWh/year.

BlueFloat Energy and Sener plan to build three floating wind farms in Spain.

Apart from the 525 MW Parque Nordés, the companies are also developing the 1 GW Parc Tramuntana in Catalonia and the 300 MW Mar de Ágata in Andalusia.

The floating wind farm in Andalusia, which would be built off the eastern coast of Almería, is planned to potentially power green hydrogen production.
