Gas Explosion Partly Closes Sif Roermond
Dutch offshore foundations manufacturer Sif has reported a gas explosion on Sunday, 7 August, around midnight at its production facilities in Roermond while works were ongoing.

One employee was taken to hospital for observation, Sif said.
The fire brigade and gas network owner Enexis have investigated the incident and gave clearance on Monday morning, 8 August.
The production location is partly closed until investigations are finalized.
Sif said that there was no risk from the explosion for local residents close to the production location, and that observable material damage was limited to Sif properties.
