The offshore wind farm, located near the Zhoushan Islands in east China’s Zhejiang Province, was built by China General Nuclear Power Corporation (CGN).

CGN received consent for Daishan 4 at the beginning of 2019, and the project’s offshore substation was installed and hooked to the grid at the end of the same year.

The offshore substation was delivered by Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries (ZPMC), while the export and inter-array cables were supplied by Orient Cable.

The wind turbine and inter-array cable installation started in 2020.

The 234 MW offshore wind farm comprises 54 wind turbines. According to available information on the project, the (downrated) turbines are of the Envision 4.5 MW model.
