Northland Power Identifies Additional Offshore Wind Sites in South Korea

Northland Power has identified additional offshore wind development sites in the proximity of Dado Ocean’s original sites in South Korea, which could increase the development capacity to approximately 1GW.

These early-stage development sites will be developed together over the coming years, Northland Power stated.

The company has also closed the previously announced acquisition of Dado Ocean Wind Farm Co., Ltd.

Dado Ocean has multiple early-stage offshore wind development sites in Chodo-ri and Sonjuk-ri of Yeosu City, 35km off the southern coast of the Korean Peninsula.

The company was previously owned by Eui Jeong Hwang who will continue to support the project as a local partner, working together with Northland Power to achieve key milestones.
