Deutsche Bucht Nears Turbine Installation
The Northland Power team is gearing up for the beginning of the turbine installation campaign at the Deutsche Bucht offshore wind farm.

According to the company, the team is working to quickly assemble the towers for the MHI Vestas 8.4MW turbines, with the loadout expected to start shortly at the Port of Esbjerg.
Global Wind Service (GWS) and 3sun Group will be supporting the turbine installation campaign.
Deutsche Bucht will feature a total of 33 turbines, with 31 installed on monopile foundations and two on mono bucket foundations some 95km northwest of the Borkum Island in Germany.
The 269MW project will become the first offshore wind farm to test the mono buckets under commercial operating conditions. It is scheduled to be fully operational by the end of the year.
