ØER Gets Princess Amalia Contract
ØER A/S, a subsidiary of NorSea Group’s NSG Wind, has won a contract to provide offshore exchange and commissioning services of main components at Eneco’s Princess Amalia offshore wind farm.
ØER will provide its project management services, as well as technical manpower for the exchange of main components, such as gearbox, generator, transformer, blade and/or blade bearing.
During the five-year contract, the component exchange will be executed in several projects in cooperation with Eneco and MPI Offshore, who will deliver offshore transport and lifting services on the project.
The contract commenced at the beginning of the year and planning processes are already ongoing.
The 120MW wind farm is located 23km off the coast of Ijmuiden, the Netherlands, and consists of 60 2MW Vestas turbines.
Princess Amalia, also known as Prinses Amaliawindpark, has been operational since 2008.
