Under the tender, RVO.nl will seek to obtain twelve more months of validated data, aims to get all the required data before the permit tender for Hollandse Kust Noord closes in the fourth quarter of 2019.

Namely, the government requires at least 24 months of validated metocean data measured at the Hollandse Kust Wind Farm Zone, with campaigns at both HK Zuid and HK Noord running now. However, while the campaign at the south zone has been contracted for the entire period of two years, the one currently running at the north zone has a twelve-month contract ending in April 2018.

The field data will be obtained by means of two individual floating systems equipped with a LiDAR system to measure wind properties and dedicated instrumentation to measure wave and current properties.
