In October, TDA reported that it has won several major design contracts for the design of offshore wind turbine foundations, both jackets and monopiles. The contracts involve FEED, Basic Design and Detailed Design for a number of offshore wind farms, TDA said.

“The acquisition of TDA is a very important strategic milestone for COWI. It is in line with our growth strategy which is focused on transportation, bridges and offshore wind energy. Together, COWI will have a strong and highly competent team and can provide great value and expert knowledge to our customers and projects around the globe,” said Thomas Dahlgren, Senior Vice President, COWI.

“Over the years, we have had a strategic cooperation with COWI, especially within offshore windmill foundation and large bridge design. We are a perfect match in both our cultures and competencies and the partner-ship is highly valued by our customers. Joining COWI is a natural contin-uation of our great collaboration. Together we will be a strong unit, providing unique services to our clients and to the market,” said Jan Erik Berg, TDA Managing Director.

TDA will legally transfer to COWI on January 4th, 2016, and will move into COWI’s premises in central Oslo over the next year.
