Keystone Recognised for Its Offshore Wind Efforts

Louisiana-based Keystone Engineering Inc. has been named the winner of this year’s Be Inspired Award for offshore innovation for its role in the Block Island Wind Farm.

The award honors the work of organizations advancing infrastructure design, construction, and operations throughout the world. This year there were more than 360 nominations for Be Inspired Awards from organizations in 55 countries.

Keystone CEO Barry Reed said: “This award is a testament to the hard work, determination and innovative spirit that Keystone team members bring to every project.”

In earning the award, Keystone Engineering designed the foundations for the first offshore wind farm in the North America. The Block Island Wind Farm is currently in construction off the coast of Rhode Island. The project has continued to earn Keystone accolades both nationally and internationally for its work in pioneering a new industry in the US, solidifying its positions as the leading US design firm for offshore wind turbine foundations.
