Advanced Power Services Joins Offshore Wind Sector

Advanced Power Services (APS) has expanded its business into renewables.

Working in the UK Rail Infrastructure for many years as specialist electrical installation contractors, APS is now expanding into diversified market sectors such as renewable energy, including solar and wind farms (both offshore and onshore), commercial networks and passenger & cargo ships.

APS has recently updated and considerably expanded its website with details of its EHV, HV and MV (extra high voltage, high voltage and medium voltage) cable jointing, termination and testing services, including a catalogue of successful projects undertaken within each market sector.

Most recently, the company has achieved ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System Certification for the provision of its high voltage cable jointing, termination and testing services.

The company’s founder and managing director, Lee Burrell, commented: “Our commitment to our customers, our exemplary safety record and our team’s ‘can do’ attitude has led to increasing repeat business with our core clients. This now places us in a very strong position for growth and to maximise the opportunities within the industry. We are passionate about the environmental sectors and we are members of Renewable UK.

“Our future plans include significant investment in training and bespoke electrical test equipment to keep us at the forefront of renewable energy technologies and allow us to offer a wider range of services to the solar market and both offshore and onshore wind farms.”
