London Offshore Consultants Appoints New Energy Services Group Director

London Offshore Consultants (LOC) has announced that Alex Harrison has assumed a new LOC Group role as Group Director, Energy Services after stepping down as Managing Director of LOC Australia.

Harrison was a Director of LOC in London before transferring in 2005 to head LOC Australia, which is now the second largest earnings generator in the LOC Group. He joined the LOC Group Ltd board in 2011.

Andrew Squire, Chief Executive of LOC, said: “Alex’s new global role will involve working closely with the four regional directors and other group directors developing energy services within the LOC Group. This role will initially focus on Marine Warranty Services across the LOC Group.”

Alex will remain based in Perth, Western Australia where he is ideally placed near the growing offshore oil and gas developments in the Far East.

Adam Solomons has taken over as Managing Director of LOC in Australia from Alex with effect from this same date, 13th October 2014.

Jon Walker, LOC Group’s Regional Director for Asia/Australia, said: “I am very pleased indeed that Adam has accepted this position. Adam has been a Director of LOC Australia in Perth since 2011 and is key player in the continued development and expansion of LOC’s portfolio of work in both Australia and the Asian region.

“I know Adam will continue to develop the office for the benefit of both LOC in Asia/Australia and globally, by providing the highest standard of service to our clients.”

Adam Harrison studied Naval Architecture at the University of New South Wales after which he worked on offshore oil and gas projects in Australia, the North Sea and the Caspian. He joined LOC Australia in 2006 since then he has been engaged in managing increasingly complex and large marine warranty survey contracts from the Perth office.  He became a Director of LOC Australia in 2011.
