“This is an outstanding performance by the crew on board SEA INSTALLER, the project team and our colleagues at Siemens Wind Power. It is a true example of our Team-Built culture at A2SEA,” says CEO Jens Frederik Hansen.

SEA INSTALLER will now be heading for Frederikshavn, Denmark, where she will mobilise for the Borkum Riffgrund 1 project, which counts 77 Siemens 4.0MW turbines.

The West of Duddon Sands Offshore Wind Farm is located in the East Irish Sea approximately 14 km from the nearest coast on Walney Island, Cumbria. It is a 50/50 joint venture between DONG Energy and ScottishPower Renewables and the offshore wind farm is expected to be fully operational by the end of 2014.
