Scunthorpe to Host Offshore Wind Connections Events

Grimsby Renewables Partnership have teamed up with Team Humber Marine Alliance and RenewableUK to hold two supply chain events aimed at local businesses.

The intention is to give companies a better insight into what opportunities are available for them and the opportunity to partake in networking and workshops.

These free events will be held on 25th and 26th March at Forest Pines in Scunthorpe. Speakers include large offshore wind turbine manufacturer AREVA, port owner Able UK, trade association RenewableUK and government’s Offshore Wind Investment Organisation amongst others.

With further plans to create brand new ports infrastructure and manufacturing facilities the Humber will become an internationally important Offshore Wind centre of excellence.

Offshore Wind Connections will see contributions from key speakers providing the latest updates from the industry as well key topics including Supply Chain Opportunities, UK Content, Cost Reduction, Inward Investment and Funding for growth and Skills.
