Denmark: LORC Nacelle Testing Facility Construction on Track
The LORC nacelle testing facility, LNT, is under construction and the work is on track. The hall, which will house the most advanced indoor tests of full-scale wind turbine nacelles is complete with the removable roofs ready to be installed.
The foundation upon which the powerful machinery will be placed has been cast and the next step of the construction work is to build the actual test facility.
LNT (Lindoe Nacelle Testing) is a two test-dock design and a result of close cooperation between industry and academia. Among the partners are Vestas Wind Systems and Siemens Wind Power, DONG Energy and the Technical University of Denmark and the University of Southern Denmark.
