Moventas Opens Subsidiary in France

Moventas, one of the world’s leading gear manufacturers and service providers, has opened a subsidiary in France. Moventas France will increase the company’s presence and sales efforts in all of its business areas in the country.

The new subsidiary will be building Moventas’ local service and technical support in France, for both its industrial and wind gears offerings. Moventas France will be responsible for industrial gears’ service and gearbox markets in France and will also enter the wind gears service market in the country. It also supports Moventas’ Mediterranean unit in the industrial gears market in Italy, Spain and the rest of the Mediterranean area.

Moventas already has a good foundation among industrial gear clients in France, as the company has cooperated with industrial agent Medpaper in the country since 2008.

The new subsidiary is located in Bordeaux and will be led by François Bonomo, who has joined Moventas from Medpaper.

– The outlook in France is very promising. Our focus is now on the continuous development of Moventas’ installed base especially in industrial gears, with both service and gearbox sales. We can also clearly see good wind gear service opportunities, Bonomo comments.

The French subsidiary will start with building a local service offering. Moventas’ service portfolio covers the entire product lifecycle from design, manufacture and repairs to spare parts, upgrades and overhaul. Moventas also offers a state-of-the-art condition management system, CMaS, for real-time preventive maintenance of both wind and other industrial gears, which also provides 24/7 support from gearbox experts on call.
