Norway: Seatower Names New Vice President of Business Development

Offshore foundation company Seatower have appointed Niels Brix as new Vice President of Business Development.

Oslo-based Seatower is the company behind the Cranefree concept for offshore wind, which features self-installing gravity foundations designed for scalable and efficient production. The company is a front runner in the niche of innovative suppliers of foundations for offshore wind turbines and substations. The unique Cranefree technology – based on principles from the offshore oil & gas sector – enables offshore wind projects at deeper waters to be executed cost efficiently with minimized risk.

Seatower are equally excited about having Mr. Brix on the team. “Brix will certainly be a key member of our top management ”, says Petter Karal, CEO. “His unique experience from the industry combined with a vast network in the European wind industry will strengthen our commercial activities”.

Niels Brix, 39, has a track record as a top management consultant and executive in the wind industry. Brix took the initiative to found Lindoe Offshore Renewable Center, and has previously served on the Board of the Danish Wind Industry Association. Niels Brix holds board positions in the wind related businesses Clean World Capital and Logistics A/S. He holds a Master’s degree in law, and is a trained Attorney-at-law.
