South Korea to Develop 200MW Tidal Energy Project

According to Bloomberg, South Jeolla province in South Korea plans to build a 200MW tidal energy plant in Jindo.

The plant is expected to be built by 2016 and the province has already signed an initial contract with Korea Electric Power Corp., Korea Midland Power Co. and five other companies to develop the project.
