UK: P&O Sees Its Big Opportunity in Offshore Wind Accommodation Vessels

Following the launch of its first accommodation vessel, namely the European Seaway for offshore wind farm technicians working in the North Sea in April, P&O Ferries has announced further expansion of this kind of business.

The company’s spokesman Brian Rees said that the contract with Centrica for the European Seaway vessel was scheduled to run until July, but that it has been extended to October.

After an annual review into its operations and the success of the first vessel, P&O said that it is looking to further increase its profits and sees an excellent opportunity to do this by providing offshore wind accommodation, reports This is Scunthorpe news site.
