Dong Energy is planning to sell stakes in its offshore wind farms, as it plans to invest 10 billion kroner (USD 1.8 billion) a year in offshore wind, reports Bloomberg.
Deputy Chief Executive Officer Morten Buchgreitz said: “You haven’t seen the last sale from Dong Energy of stakes in a wind farm.”
“We have an ongoing dialogue with a number of investors, both current and new investors in the offshore wind industry.”
Recently the company has sold 50 percent of a German offshore wind power project to LEGO Group’s parent company, KIRKBI A/S, and the Oticon Foundation.
Borkum Riffgrund 1 was sold for 4.7 billion kroner (USD 840 million).
To date Dong Energy has sold a total of five offshore wind farm stakes.
