UK: LEP Chairman Discussed Humber’s Potential

LEP chairman Lord Haskins has revealed that discussions on Humber Local Enterprise Partnership’s (LEPs) enterprise zone at Paull are taking place, reports Insidermedia.

While talking about Humber’s great potential in renewable energy sector, Lord Haskins said:

This area is considered by government to be one of the most strategic locations for offshore wind and renewable energy and offers very real opportunities for local manufacturing companies.

There is a need for manufacturing 100-metre steel towers necessary for supporting the new 6MW turbines.

Humber’s opportunities will be studied at ‘Manufacturing the Green Economy’, on 4 April 2012.
