Last Day for Residents to Have Their Say on Proposed Offshore Wind Farm (UK)

Pembrokeshire communities have until close of play today to have their say over plans for a massive offshore wind farm.

The chance to comment on the RWE npower renewables Atlantic Array Offshore Wind Farm, which will be located 16km off the south Wales coast, closes at 5pm today (Thursday).

If the development goes ahead it would be capable of generating enough power to meet more than 90% of Wales’ domestic electricity consumption needs.

Robert Thornhill, development manager for the project, said: “It is not too late for local residents to share their views and we would encourage as many people as possible to take part in the consultation process.”

Consultation events have already been held in Pembroke Dock and Tenby.
