Certex UK Teams Up with Mennens for Hollandse Kust Noord Contract

Certex UK has partnered with its Amsterdam-based sister company Mennens to secure a construction project contract on the Hollandse Kust Noord (HKN) offshore wind farm in the Netherlands.

Certex UK will assist with the provision of turbine compliance services to Siemens Gamesa, including turbine-mounted safety equipment.

Under the contract, which is likely to run until September 2023, Certex UK will assist in the provision of turbine compliance services to Siemens Gamesa, including statutory commissioning inspection of pressure systems, turbine-mounted safety equipment, cranes, service lifts, and personal protective equipment (PPE).

This contract follows Certex UK’s and Mennens ongoing delivery of services to the Hollandse Kust Zuid, the wind farm’s southern counterpart.

Located 18.5 kilometres off the Dutch coast, near the town of Egmond aan Zee, HKN is being developed subsidy-free by the CrossWind consortium, a joint venture between Shell and Eneco.

The 759 MW offshore wind project will consist of 69 Siemens Gamesa SG 11.0-200 DD wind turbines and the first power is expected by the end of 2023.
