Danish Energy Agency

The tender was carried out by Vattenfall Vindkraft A/S.

The two CTVs will support yearly maintenance campaigns at the offshore wind farms for a period of up to three years with the first two being firm, followed by one optional year for the charterers.

Vattenfall chose Port of Hvide Sande as the O&M base for the offshore wind farms.

The Vesterhav offshore wind farms are located ten kilometres off the West coast of Jutland near Thyborøn (Nord) and Søndervig (Syd) in water depths of approximately 20 metres. The wind farms have a combined capacity of 344 MW.

Vesterhav Syd and Nord will comprise 41 Siemens Gamesa 8.4 MW wind turbines to be installed by Jan De Nul.

Bladt Industries and EEW will provide the transition pieces and monopiles, respectively, and the cables will be manufactured and delivered by Hellenic Cables. Asso.subsea will install the cables at the two wind farms.

Vattenfall’s offshore wind farms will be ready to provide fossil-free electricity to Danish consumers and industry by the end of 2023 at the latest.
