German Offshore Wind Operator in Need of Coordination Services

Trianel Windkraftwerk Borkum is seeking a provider of marine, flight, and emergency response coordination services at the Trianel Windpark Borkum I wind farm in the German North Sea.

The tender is divided into two lots. Lot 1 covers the marine, flight, and emergency response coordination services, plus operations control at the 200 MW wind farm.

Lot 2 is for marine, flight, and emergency response coordination services, as well as maritime surveillance, at the wind farm’s converter station.

The contract or contracts are expected to start in December 2020 and run until the end of 2025. Two one-year extensions are possible.

The tender remains open until 20 July.

In operation since 2015, the Trianel Windpark Borkum I comprises 40 5 MW Adwen turbines.

The converter station which is integrated into the wind farm is operated by the Infrastruktur Windkraftwerk Borkum GmbH & Co. KG (IWB).

The 400 MW IWB substation will also deliver power from the neighbouring 200 MW Trianel Windpark Borkum II wind farm to TenneT’s DolWin alpha substation.
