The GW175-8.0 unit was installed at the site on Tuesday, 28 April.

According to Goldwind, it is the latest generation of large-capacity offshore wind turbines with full independent intellectual property, which sets a new record for the unit capacity of China’s offshore wind turbine.

The Goldwind 8 MW turbine has a rotor diameter of 175 metres and is applicable to wind class IEC I.

Goldwind launched the prototype 8 MW unit at its facility in Fujian in September 2019.
