Omexom to Carry Out Saint-Brieuc Onshore Link Work

Toulouse-based Omexom LS has won a contract to provide terrestrial ground connections work for the Saint Brieuc offshore wind farm.

The 225kV onshore underground links will run from Caroual to La Doberie and have an approximate length of 16 kilometres. The export cables will be provided by Nexans.

The value of the contract is around EUR 11.3 million. The contract was awarded by RTE Réseau de transport d’électricité.

The 496MW Saint-Brieuc offshore wind farm is located in in the Bay of Saint-Brieuc some 16 kilometres off the coast at the nearest point.

The EUR 2.5 billion wind farm will comprise 62 Siemens Gamesa 8MW turbines expected to be operational by 2023.

The project is being developed by the Ailes Marines consortium comprising Iberdrola, RES, and Caisse des Dépôts.
