TenneT TSO is planning to issue two tenders in September regarding surveys for three offshore wind zones in the Netherlands.

TenneT will be seeking a party to carry out non-UXO offshore and nearshore route survey activities at the Hollandse Kust (West Beta), Ten Noorden van de Waddeneilanden and IJmuiden Ver wind farm zones.

In the second tender, the transmission operator will look for a company to provide UXO consultancy services for the three areas.

The three offshore wind zones are part of the Dutch government’s Offshore Wind Energy Roadmap 2030 which sets out plans for the development of 7GW of capacity by 2030.

The tenders for the new wind farm zones will be opened from 2021 onward, starting with the Holland Kust (West), and the wind farms are expected to be commissioned between 2024 and 2030.
