Vessels

Geo Therm Ltd. has won a contract to perform inspections on the Self Elevating Support Vessel (SESV) GMS Endeavour during work on the Hornsea Project One offshore wind farm.

Geo Therm

Geo Therm is collaborating with LEC Marine (Klyne) to carry out an electrical-biased thermographic inspection on the switchboards, distribution and thruster systems throughout the entire Gulf Marine Services’ vessel.

The inspection is expected late this month, when GMS Endeavour is on location at the Hornsea Project One offshore site some 120km from the Yorkshire coast in the UK.

GMS Endeavour, together with sister vessel GMS Evolution, will provide accommodation services on the 1.2GW project under a contract secured with Ørsted in April 2017.

The vessel has a 230t crane, can operate in water depths of up to 65m and can provide accommodation for up to 142 persons. It will be mobilized by helicopter from the Humberside airport.

Hornsea Project One will comprise 174 7MW Siemens Gamesa turbines scheduled for full commissioning in 2020. The 1.2GW project recently produced first power.
