According to Ørsted’s Lead Stakeholder Advisor, Emma Toulson, the THMA plays a vital role in connecting and mobilizing the offshore wind supply chain, as well as putting the Humber region at the center of offshore wind on a worldwide stage.

“Joining Team Humber will help us access local expertise and contribute to the region’s ambitions. We are looking forward to being part of this vibrant group of Humber businesses,” said Toulson

The alliance’s CEO Mark O’Reilly said Ørsted joined at a time of intense interest in the Humber region from other areas of the world that are entering the offshore wind sector.

“People are seeking advice on how to ensure a robust supply chain and how we work together for the prosperity of our region,” O’Reilly said.

“The breadth of our membership has been key to this success and having such a high-profile business helping us mark our 250 milestone both adds to our credibility and provides great networking opportunities for our established membership.”

Ørsted has 11 operational offshore wind farms in the UK with a total capacity of 3,721MW. The Danish company also has three projects currently under operation and the Hornsea Project One and Hornsea Project Two under construction.
