ZPMC to Supply Three Gorges Dafeng with Booster Station

Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries (ZPMC) has won a contract to construct and install the booster station for the 300MW Three Gorges Dafeng offshore wind farm located in the East China Sea.

ZPMC will undertake the manufacturing of the onshore monolithic construction, marine transport, lifting construction of the upper platform of the booster station, and the linkage debugging for the wind farm.

The upper platform project includes steel structure manufacturing, outfitting, and installation and debugging of the heating and ventilation equipment, as well as fire control equipment.

The Three Gorges Dafeng offshore wind farm is currently in the pre-construction phase.

In January 2017, ZPMC won a contract to build, transport, install and commission an offshore booster station for the 200MW Longyuan Dafeng offshore wind farm also located in the East China Sea.

Earlier this week, the company launched a new self-propelled offshore wind installation vessel Longyuan Zhenhua 3. With the double-hook maximum lifting capacity of 2,000t and single-hook lifting capacity of 1,500t, the vessel is set to be capable of handling and installing foundations for large offshore wind turbines, ZPMC said.
