Our latest photo of the day shows four vessels at berth in Beatrixhaven, one of Eemshaven Port’s docking basins, getting ready for or returning from their respective offshore wind projects.

Erik Bertholet, Business Manager Offshore Wind at Groningen Seaports, said the photo was taken on Thursday, 12 January.

At the forefront, we have the service operations vessel Windea La Cour, currently chartered by Siemens Wind Power and working on the 600MW Gemini wind farm in the Dutch North Sea.

C-bed’s floating hotel Wind Innovation is seen right behind Windea la Cour. The floatel has recently started working at the 402MW Veja Mate offshore wind farm in the German North Sea.

On the right side of the photo we have the wind farm installation vessel Seajacks Zaratan which has recently completed the installation of 67 transition pieces at the Veja Mate offshore wind farm.

Behind Seajacks Zaratan, GeoSea’s jack-up vessel Thor has taken its place in the Beatrix basin.

Siem Offshore Contractors’ installation support vessel Siem Moxie was also berthed at Beatrixhaven at the time, but cannot be seen in the photo, according to Bertholet.
